**ഹരിപ്പാട്: **ചേപ്പാട് വെട്ടിക്കുളങ്ങര ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന് കിഴക്കുവശമുള്ള ആൽത്തറയിൽനിന്ന് ആലിന്റെ വലിയ ശിഖരം ഒടിഞ്ഞുവീണ് അപകടം. ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് പന്ത്രണ്ടരയോടെയുണ്ടായ സംഭവത്തിൽ ആൽത്തറയിലിരുന്ന മൂന്നുപേർ അത്ഭുതകരമായാണ് വൻ ദുരന്തത്തിൽനിന്ന് രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടത്.

മരം വീഴുന്നതുകണ്ട് ഓടിമാറുന്നതിനിടെ താഴെവീണ് ചേപ്പാട് കാവട വീട്ടിൽ മാത്യു ഫിലിപ്പിന് (ബിജോയ് - 48) നിസ്സാര പരിക്കേറ്റു. ശിഖരം റോഡിന് കുറുകെ വീണതിനെ തുടർന്ന് വൈദ്യുതിത്തൂൺ ഒടിയുകയും പ്രദേശത്തെ വൈദ്യുതി ബന്ധം തകരാറിലാകുകയും ചെയ്തു. 11 കെ.വി. ലൈനും തെരുവുവിളക്കും തകർന്നു.

കൂടാതെ പ്രദേശത്ത് ഗതാഗതവും പൂർണ്ണമായി തടസ്സപ്പെട്ടു. വിവരമറിഞ്ഞ് ഹരിപ്പാടുനിന്ന് അഗ്നിരക്ഷാസേന സ്ഥലത്തെത്തി റോഡിന് കുറുകെ വീണ ശിഖരം മുറിച്ചുനീക്കി ഗതാഗതം പുനഃസ്ഥാപിച്ചു. അപകടഭീഷണി ഉയർത്തിനിന്ന മറ്റ് ഉണങ്ങിയ ചില്ലകളും ഇവർ വെട്ടിമാറ്റി. തുടർന്ന് കെ.എസ്.ഇ.ബി. ജീവനക്കാർ സ്ഥലത്തെത്തി അറ്റകുറ്റപ്പണികൾ പൂർത്തിയാക്കി വൈദ്യുതി വിതരണവും പുനഃസ്ഥാപിച്ചു.

As branch fell across road electric post broke and power connection in area got disrupted. 11 KV line and street light also damaged. Traffic also blocked. Fire and rescue force from Haripad arrived and cut and removed branch that fell across and restored traffic. Team also cut and removed other dried branches of tree that posed threat of accident. Then KSEB employees arrived and completed repair works and restored power supply.
